Most women with obesity are fertile, although increases the risk of infertility. This review describes influence on reproductive health before and during pregnancy postpartum. It also discusses multidisciplinary management a woman’s period based scientific literature subject published from January 2015 to March 2022. Obesity is factor for endometrial hyperplasia cancer. Women have lower response ovarian stimulation. In ovulation induction treatments, there less likelihood using clomiphene citrate, higher doses gonadotropins required smaller number follicles develop. polycystic ovary syndrome (PCOS) (prevalence ranging 14 75% depending population studied), longitudinal weight gain abdominal compared without PCOS. PCOS two conditions complex pathophysiologies it not clear which one them acts as cause or consequence other. The pregnancies at increased different complications, including gestational diabetes, hypertensive disease (gestational hypertension preeclampsia), foetal malformations, prematurity, both spontaneous induced by other Caesarean delivery, postpartum haemorrhage thromboembolism. Primary care practice includes promotion prevention actions, often first point contact between woman her partner healthcare service they conceive. therefore responsible providing this new family quality prenatal preventive activities prior pregnancy. relation obesity, situation provides opportunity effective communication their families about goals stage life, importance loss pregnancy, maximum reduce adverse outcomes in current future pregnancies.
